Photographs: Obviously,
I like to collect photographs, the rarer the better. What I don't like is the astronomical prices that folks are getting on auction
sites for photographs that can be obtained easily and relatively cheaply elsewhere on the
internet. This list contains sites that I've obtained photographs from in the past. Although
I have had good experiences with these merchants, I'm not
making any endorsements or assurances otherwise.

Sound Files: What a delight to be able to purge that jarring Micro$oft Windows critical stop sound and replace it with Detective Griffin's melodious "Oh, yeah!", or one of the many choice Peter 'n Pop-isms. Unfortunately, many of the great sound download sites are no more. While I ponder using more bandwidth to offer some here, the following are a few links you can use to make your computer sound files more Potter friendly:
Downloads: Please
feel free to download any of the following items for your own personal, non-commercial,
not-for-profit use. All I ask is that you not use these items for any other purpose
or place them anywhere else on the internet. Should someone ask where you found
these items, please send them to this site.
Wallpaper: This
wallpaper was designed for 800x600 screen resolutions, but many may be cropped
to fit 640x480 screen resolutions or enlarged to cover higher resolutions by changing your desktop color to match the background of the original image. You will need Winzip
to open these files, or some other utility that can open .zip files (sorry, Mac fans).
To
save the wallpaper to your computer using Firefox, (left) click on the image and
select "Save Image As...";
To
save the wallpaper to your computer using MS Internet Explorer, (left) click on
the image and select "Save picture as...";
To
save the wallpaper to your computer using Netscape Navigator, (left) click on
the image and select "Save image as...";
To
save the wallpaper to your computer using Opera, (left) click on the image and
select "Save Image."
To download the "Wild Card" wallpaper only, left click to get the full image. After the image loads, right click and select "Save image as...". This is the only image not saved in .zip format.

AOL Instant Messenger Icons: To
use these icons, first download them to your computer by right clicking on an
icon and selecting "Save..." Remember which folder you saved the icon
in. To install the saved icon to your AOL IM account, sign on to your account,
select "File", "My Options," then "Edit Preferences."
Click on the tab that says "Buddy Icons", then click on "Browse
PC." Browse to the folder where you saved the icon and select it. Click "Ok"
to install the icon. Technically speaking, AOL suggest using icons 48x48 pixels in size, but I've found these work fine with IM.
