To answer the little 'diller's question: No, I'm not nuts. Nor am I prone to bouts of obsessive goofiness, compulsive whackiness, or any other type of perspective altering mindset. In reality, I'm a fairly well-rounded individual with a variety of interests.
So, if I'm not the obsessive type, then what's this site all about? Fact is, I'm forever addicted to expanding my (suburban) horizons, and given a choice, I'd read and study and learn new things until I was well over and six feet under the hill. When I discovered HTML coding, I knew I'd found something fun.
But...do a web page about myself? BORing. Hmm...first time fan, why not first time fan page? And what better subject could there be to use hone my fledgling skills (and fill my insomniac nights) than a tremendously gifted actor type person, a dedicated family man and decent human being. Easy on the eyes, too.
So...I read and I studied and tried (and tried some more) and read even more. Before I knew it, one thing led to another (page), and another (page), and another, and...well, you know. And so here I am. And here it is, too.

A decade ago, if someone had told me that I would gain insight, spiritual enrichment, and be profoundly affected by a television show (and - gads! - actually join an actor's fan club?), I would have laughed them right out of the room. Guess what? I'm not laughing now.

Television has never been a major of my life. While there are several actors I admire, I'd never even considered being in a fan club. I did watch "Kung Fu" during its original run, but life, the universe and family requirements conspired against me, and I could never seem to find the time to catch "The Legend Continues." One fine day whilst the small people were napping, I happened upon a rerun of the pilot, "Initiation", followed by the second episode, "Shadow Assassin". I was thunderstruck, completely blown away by the skill of Chris Potter, the actor portraying Caine's son, Peter. Questions, questions, and more questions followed:
"Who is this guy? How come I've never heard of him? Where can I find out more about him? Man, how does he *do* that?" |
From that day forward I was hopelessly hooked, on both the show and the actor. I'm a big fan of the show's emotional interplay between father and son, and of the basic message the series conveys: peace, understanding, and tolerance in our daily lives. A decade late, I continue to be astounded by the depth and range of Chris Potter's acting skills.

I've been fortunate enough to have encountered Mr. Potter in person. He's as decent, kind and gracious a person as any fan could possibly hope to meet. A dedicated family man, he's conducted his career with honesty and high ethics. Well, that did it for me - I've been an incurable "Potterholic" ever since. I offer herein my own humble tribute for fans of Chris Potter - a gifted performer worthy of the many great opportunities that are sure to come his way.
